Investigations Brigade, Tucumán

Less is known about the Brigada de Investigaciones in Tucumán, except that it was a provincial police headquarters, where a "large number" of people were kidnapped.

The building now stands empty and abandoned, marked simply by a sign and small memorial sculpture to its victims (since 2010). In 2012, there was an attempt to demolish the building, which was successfully stopped by human rights groups. The idea at the time was to make the site a memorial space. This has not happened.

Though listed on Tucumán Turismo's website, in visits to multiple Tourist Information Centres in May 2025, representatives were unable to share any information about the site.

It's continued existence serves as an example of what little can be done beyond preservation of the structure when there is limited political will and public interest.
