Focus on Memorialization

These sites have been chosen for their focus on the act of memorialization and less focus on the spatial element of their existence. As a result of this lesser relationship with space, the need for preservation is not as evident in their mission.

 

While some spaces are still tangentially spatially connected to the dictatorship, these memorials are more likely to use artistic exhibits, individual stories, and connections to modern political contexts, both nationally, regionally, and globally.
